Hi! Great episode. If I wanted to read more especially about gladiator training and daily life, do you recommend one book over the other – Baker or Meijer?
I just joined the Patreon and am looking forward to the Mythological Battles minisode too.

That’s a tough question as I think both books work really together. The Meijer book had more detail on daily life and training, but the Baker book was great for a grounding in the overall history/subject of gladiators. So, I’d suggest if you just have the time to read one go with Meijer.
